Manage user task lists via delegation
Create, update, and monitor Google Tasks for multiple users from a single delegated service account.

The problem
Manual task assignment is inconsistent and untrackable at scale. Managers can't see task status without asking each user, and users may forget or duplicate tasks.
How it works
- Authenticate as a service account with domain-wide delegation.
- Impersonate the target user when calling the Tasks API.
- Create or update task lists and items as required.
- Query and aggregate task completion status for reporting.
What changes
Task lists are reliably assigned and updated for each user, and managers have a near real-time view of completion across the team.

Questions people ask
Can I assign a task to multiple users at once?
No, Google Tasks does not support shared tasks. You must create individual tasks in each user's account.
How do I avoid creating duplicates?
Use an idempotency key stored in task notes or metadata. Always query for an existing task before creating a new one.
Want this built?
This is a pattern we run in production. We will set up the delegation and build this on top of it — $500 per hour, most of it working the same day.
